The Biggest Loser(Note: This is NOT an official NBC website)O.K., so I'm a fan of the show and all-too-fond of spouting off my opinions and observations about it so I figured maybe I'd throw up a page on it so that other people could be bored with my opinions and observations.
Week 8I'm starting a bit late with this so I'll just pick it up in week 8. I guess I can say it -- I really don't like Vicky. I know some people out there really hate the whole Blue team, but really I mostly dislike Vicky. Heba is controlling, self-righteous and a little manipulative but I think she might actually be a nice person. I don't get much of that from Vicky. She seems mean, spiteful, petty and conniving. She can't seem to get thru a single scene without smirking and she's just getting worse every week. Vicky's husband Brady seems like an o.k. guy to me. A guy I'd like to watch football with or play softball with. Heba's husband Ed is probably in about the same category. I don't any ill feelings about either of those two fellows; they mostly just seem to follow their wives' lead. But Vicky...she just doesn't seem like a nice person to me and I don't care for how she's behaving. I don't really know what Phillip did to upset her so much, but Vicky isn't handling it with any class in my opinion. I think Bob has Vicky figured out now too and I don't think he likes it one bit. He can't say so, of course, and I don't think he would ever sabotage her or anything like that, but I don't think he'll be sorry to see her go and if it comes down to having 5 extra minutes in the gym with Ed or Vicky I have to think Ed will get the extra attention. Just a suspicion. StrategyGoing into this week the Black team was really on the ropes. There were four Blue team members with what appeared to be a pretty strong alliance and only three Black team members. The Blue team had Brady (a big guy). Then during the first challenge Ed (Heba's husband and another big guy) won his way BACK onto the show. Now the Black team was really done for...5 against 3, two big guys, two married couples. Yikes! In the weigh-in both Brady and Michelle fell below the yellow line and it looked like the end was at hand for Michelle. The Blue team had four votes to the Black team's two and Vicky's carefully crafted alliance looked like it was going to claim it's next victim. Because there were 6 votes to be cast, if it came down to a tie then Brady would go, because he had the lowest percentage of weight loss this week. I knew something was up though - at elimination table the producers put Amy C. on the end of the table. Her vote would come last. They knew, as we all did, that her vote was going to be dramatic - the tie-breaker, the decider. Sure enough, the Blue team (Ed, Heba and Vicky) all voted for Michelle to go. The Black team (Renee and Colleen) voted for Brady to go. It came down to Amy C.'s vote and she pulled off a BRILLIANT maneuver.... ...she voted for Brady. Yep, she bailed on the alliance and voted Brady off. Really she did the best thing all around. There was no way she was going to survive as a member of Blue team. Those four were solid and she was the 5th wheel. As soon as the black team was disposed of Amy C. would have been next. By knocking off Brady and joining with the Black team she completely flipped the game. Now there are THREE Blue team members and four Black team members. Vicky lost her only real friend in the game (you know if it comes down to her and Heba or Ed that she's the one going home) and she's now on the wrong side of the numbers game. Thing are really dire for Vicky now, actually. If she falls below the yellow line in ANY of the next couple of weeks then she's done. If she falls below with Ed or Heba she's definitely gone - probably unanimously gone. For at least two weeks Black team will have a numeric advantage. Vicky's only hope is that she stays above the yellow line and that only Black team members fall below for the next 2 weeks at least. Otherwise it tumbles down on her. Articles
